Heavy  bronze wine vessel

Due to its age, the bottom has broken and replaced with wood base. 
See p. 389 of Ancient Chinese Bronzes, ISBN 7-310-00686-0, for similar Zhou Dynasty vase named “Song Hu”.  However this appears to be a later imitation.
